Pocket Pc Update

Hi All,
Below Pocket PC That Are Newly Launched in 2011

1. Verizon HTC ThunderBolt Android Smartphone Information Center

The HTC ThunderBolt, the first 2011 addition to the Verizon Wireless Android smartphone lineup, is now available for purhcase. It is also among the first devices from Verizon to support their high-speed LTE wireless network. Other than its LTE hardware, the ThunderBolt (aka Mecha) is similar to Sprint's EVO 4G: there's a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 4.3-inch display (Super LCD), a familiar body style, and even an EVO-esque kickstand. Other features include 8GB of onboard flash storage, nearly 800MB of RAM, a microSDHC card slot for memory cards up to 32GB, an 8MP camera with LED flash and autofocus, a front-facing 1.3MP camera for video chat, and 802.11n Wi-Fi. But the onboard LTE is most noteworthy here. If you live in an area where Verizon has deployed LTE, you'll see some pretty impressive wireless data speeds of up to 12Mbps (6-8Mbps typical). Over 100 cities are expected to have Verizon LTE by year's end. The HTC ThunderBolt went on sale on March 17th for $249 with a two-year service contract. .HTC Arrive: Sprint's First Windows Phone

We’ve known for some time that Windows Phone devices would hit the U.S. CDMA carriers – Sprint, Verizon Wireless – in early 2011. Verizon Wireless remains tight-lipped about their debut Windows Phone (or phones), but this morning Sprint announced theirs: the HTC Arrive. The Arrive (aka HTC 7 Pro) is a tilting QWERTY slider with a 3.6-inch 800 x 480 WVGA multi-touch display. Other features include a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, 16GB of onboard flash storage, 512MB of RAM, a 5MP camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, and a 1500mAh Li-Ion battery for up to 6 hours of talk time. Like many other Windows Phones, it appears the HTC Arrive does not have a memory card slot for additional storage. The HTC Arrive will be available for purchase from Sprint on March 20th for $199 with a two-year contract (after a $100 mail-in rebate).

3.HP TouchPad WebOS Tablet Information Center

HP's WebOS - acquired from along with Palm in 2010 - has long been praised for its style and ease of use. But the smartphones running the operating system have never exactly caught fire with consumers. Could a tablet device change that? We'll find out when HP releases TouchPad this summer, the company's first WebOS tablet. The TouchPad (code named Topaz) has a 9.7-inch capacitive multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024x768 (identical to the 1st Gen iPad), a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon CPU, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1, and a front-facing 1.3MP camera for video chat. There's also the expected array of sensors including an accelerometer, digital compass and gyroscope. If you do happen to own a WebOS smartphone, the two will play nice with a feature that allows data to be shared between the two devices by tapping them together; details on this process are limited, but this is an interesting feature. HP will release several versions of the TouchPad. The Wi-Fi only model will be available with two built-in storage capacities: 16GB and 32GB. There will also be 3G models which, again like the 1st Gen iPad, will include GPS. The HP TouchPad is slated for release this summer. No pricing details have been released.
